Local Landscape

Trying to decide what products to use on your lawn? What plants to install? Seed and fertilizer produced in Minnesota has a natural advantage because it's more likely to contain local ingredients geared toward our region. Plants grown here are more likely to do well and the less any of these items have to travel, the healthier they are when they reach you. Buying from local suppliers and growers can improve your own landscape and that of everyone else by reducing the number of plants that have to travel from far off places to reach big chain stores.

We don't think your lawn should have to suffer just because you care about the environment. There are plenty of ways to make your lawn more healthy so it can stand up to weeds using fewer harmful chemicals. Use an organic fertilizer and mow your lawn frequently enough that you can mulch the clippings back into the yard. Aerate and overseed once or twice per year and use the correct seed for light and yard conditions. Grass should be allowed to dry out between waterings and should be done early rather than late to prevent fungus. Have more questions? Contact us for answers.
